Happy Tuesday, friends! Who is ready to deplete all of our glycogen stores today and turn into a lean, mean, fat burning machine? If you haven't participated in our HIIT workouts yet, I encourage you to try one today. Pairing a HIIT workout with a low carb day helps us burn through our glycogen at a faster rate, which means we can tap into fat burning!

As a preview to content coming later this week -- Check out what happens to your body during a 24-hour fast below. Sure, it's great for its fat-burning benefits; however, a 24-hour fast is more of a healing practice. When our body is in a state of digestive rest and autophagy, it can focus on doing other things - like healing diseased and damaged cells.

  • (potential) prevention against diabetes and obesity

  • tissue health

  • Complete digestive rest allows for apoptosis (normal cell death) and autophagy (the destruction of damaged cells). When these occur, your body has an opportunity to regenerate healthy cells!

  • Post a screenshot of your macros in Slack! Don’t give up on yourself now, this is where it REALLY matters! We are building accountability habits and changes are happening. Make that promise to yourself and keep it!

  • Looking ahead to tomorrow (Wednesday) - prepare yourself to break your fast EARLY on Wednesday morning so you can end your eating window as early as possible. This will be KEY in achieving a successful 24hr fast with the right mindset.

    • Ideal Wednesday schedule: Break your fast at 9:00am, close your eating window between 3:00pm & 4:00pm.
