WEEK 4: DAY 1 · MONDAY
Three weeks down and a lifetime to go! Friends, I hope you’re starting to put the puzzle pieces together by now. It isn’t just about exercise. It isn’t just about nutrition. It isn’t about any one thing, but more so a combination of things. At the core of this combination is a determining factor - and that’s mindset. Mindset really is everything.
This week, we will work on keeping promises to ourselves. It’s important to set realistic, attainable goals and to continuously see them through. Every time you follow through with a promise to yourself, you trust yourself a little more. When we trust ourselves and our abilities, the sky's the limit, friends! No more letting ourselves down, deal?
WEEK FOUR, DAY ONE: Mindset and Encouragement! 🤩
“This week, I will not break promises to myself. I believe that every time I break a promise to myself, I begin to distrust my own words a little more and lose a little more faith in my abilities. I am committed to working on self-trust and self-love.”
Happy Monday, friends! Can you believe that we are halfway through our initial six weeks together? I hope that by now, you are convinced that you’ll never have to search for the answer again. The (insert program name) is the answer! 🚀 Not only do we teach you how to implement strategies for disease prevention and fat loss, but we also focus on mindset. In my opinion, a healthy mindset is the key to a successful journey! Having a great week starts with a positive mindset. Having a great life starts with a positive mindset. One of the best ways to stay encouraged is to focus on the progress you’ve made so far. Remember what I always say - small wins absolutely matter! 🎉
Isn't it a sigh of relief when you realize that our motto - progress over perfection - really is the best way? We celebrate daily wins and small victories along the way. Are you making it through the entire workout? Did you keep your net carbs under 50 grams (100g net for men) on your low carb days? Whatever it is and regardless of its size, it’s important to recognize and celebrate it! Small wins will be the wins that keep you going because they’re frequent, consistent and attainable. If you commit to keep pushing forward, the small wins add up and eventually produce a big win! ➡️
Today I want you to think about the progress you’ve made and use that as motivation for another successful week. Here is something that you may not realize - motivation comes after results, not the other way around. You have to do the work first, which will lead to results, which will lead to motivation! 🚀 What else has kept you motivated along the way? Do you have a motivational quote that’s been speaking to you? Share your motivation(s) in the comments below. Let’s encourage one another as we bring in a new week!

More to learn
Alright, folks, you've spoken and I've listened! It's true that we don't shy away from a few sweets here and there while living this wonderful lifestyle. It's okay to enjoy a treat of your choice on treat days; however, if you choose a sweet any other day of the week, I encourage you to keep it clean. So the question of the day is, "What are my options on low carb days if I need a little something sweet?" Well, since you asked...😉
Let’s review a few things we’ve learned so far regarding low carb days:
Total carbs minus fiber equals NET carbs. Your app automatically calculates your NET carbs (whew!), but it’s still good to understand how it works. Basically, the more fiber you consume on low carb days, the more carbs you get to consume. 🎉
We want to increase our healthy fats on low carb days because fats are our energy source (since we are low in glycogen/carbs).
Knowing those things, check out this simple and delicious, low-carb friendly bowl below:
blackberries (whole food and fiber filled) ✅
coconut chips (healthy fats) ✅
Rx Nut Butter (clean ingredients, moderate protein and healthy fats) ✅
Seriously, you'll try this and wonder why you ever need anything else! You can also use blueberries or strawberries if you prefer. Just be sure to choose a berry, as they are the best fruits to consume on low carb days because they’re low on the glycemic index. 😘
